The Problem with Aging Laminate
It’s common for laminate surfaces to begin peeling or loosening over time. This is particularly noticeable around edges or in areas that experience frequent use, such as near sinks or cooking stations. You might find that the laminate on your kitchen cupboard doors is starting to lift, revealing unsightly layers underneath. This not only detracts from the overall appearance of your kitchen but can also impact its functionality.
For instance, chipped laminate on worktops or peeling cupboard doors can create an uninviting atmosphere, making you feel self-conscious about your home. Fortunately, kitchen wrapping can rectify these issues quickly and effectively.
A World of Colours and Finishes
One of the most exciting aspects of kitchen wrapping is the vast array of colours and finishes available. Whether you prefer a sleek, modern look or a rustic, farmhouse style, there is a wrap to suit every taste. Options range from soft matte finishes in muted greys or classic whites that brighten a space to rich jewel tones or contemporary patterns that make a bold statement.
The customisation doesn’t stop at colour; finishes can also be tailored to reflect personal preferences. Glossy wraps can provide a contemporary look, while textured finishes can add depth and character to the kitchen. Choosing a wood grain finish that mimics the natural beauty of oak or walnut can create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Additionally, a variety of door styles can be wrapped to enhance the overall aesthetic of your kitchen. Shaker style doors, known for their classic appeal, flat panel doors that offer a sleek and modern look, and handleless doors (sometime referred to as J-Pull doors) that provide a minimalist feel can all be transformed with a new wrap. With the right choice of wrap, you can elevate your kitchen into a space that delights both you and your guests.
The Benefits of Kitchen Wrapping
Not only does kitchen wrapping provide an aesthetic boost, but it also comes with practical advantages. The vinyl material is durable and easy to clean, ensuring that your kitchen remains looking pristine with minimal maintenance. Moreover, it is water-resistant, making it an ideal choice for areas prone to spills and moisture.
This means less time worrying about upkeep and more time enjoying your beautifully transformed kitchen. You’ll have a kitchen that you are proud of, one that you want to show off to friends and family, highlighting it as the true heart of your home.
A Sustainable Choice
Another appealing aspect of kitchen wrapping is its sustainability. By choosing to wrap rather than replace, you are reducing waste and minimizing your environmental impact. This is a consideration that resonates with many homeowners today, especially those who are conscious of their carbon footprint. Making a smart choice for both your home and the planet is a rewarding experience.
Conclusion: A Unique Space Awaits
If you're looking for a way to revitalise your kitchen, consider the transformative power of wrapping. Not only can it help address the unsightly peeling and loosening of laminate surfaces, but it also allows for a completely customised and unique finish that reflects your personal style. With a wide selection of colours and finishes available, you can breathe new life into your kitchen while maintaining the existing structure of your cupboards and cabinets.
Embrace the opportunity to showcase your home to friends and family, and let your kitchen shine as the beautiful heart of your home. With kitchen wrapping, the possibilities are endless, and your dream kitchen is just a wrap away!
Our process
Quick Installation
How long all of this takes depends not only on the size of the kitchen but the complexity such as the worktop layout. Tim will include a clear timetable in the quote so you know exactly what is going on and when. A typical kitchen with 12 doors, 3 side panels and kickplate may take just 3 days to complete.
Minimal Dispruption
We will come and remove all the doors and take them away. There is no need to empty any of the cupboards, and your kitchen remains in use. Once we have wrapped the doors at my workshop, Tim will come back to wrap the worktop, and any side panels or fixed elements that need wrapping. The doors are then refitted.
Update Hardware
You can reuse your existing handles, or have a complete kitchen makeover I can advise and provide suitable handles.
Same day Quote
A quote will be provided on the same day of a home visit, and you have 14 days to decide whether you want to go ahead. We then schedule a date for the work to start.
Wrapcraft only uses premium brands of architectural vinyl to give you confidence in the excellent service and product you will receive. Working with 3M, LX Hausey, Cover Styl and Vion Ranges, can provide up to a 10 year product warranty *.

*Warranties will vary between product and manufacturer. All warranties are provided by the manufacter and not Wrapcraft. This does not affect your 12 month installation gurantee.
Pretty much on any flattish service. Some surfaces may need to be sanded down or have some prep, and others can just be wrapped straight away. Kitchens are the most popular but fitted wardrobes, large units, bathroom cupboards, and even walls.
Yes. There are so many colours and finishes to choose from. Most customers will have their worktop wrapped as well as their cupboard doors.
Water and a non-abrasive cloth is fine in most scenarios. It is not necessary to use a special product, however, preferably use a solution with a neutral PH. We recommend that you clean any spillages early to avoid staining, just as you would a carpet or other piece of furniture.
Wrapcraft comes with a 12 month fitting guarantee and a ten-year material guarantee. You can expect to enjoy your refreshed kitchen for anywhere from 5-10 years. Vinyl is much more hard wearing than painting or sprating cabinets, expeciallyimportant given kitchens are one of most used areas of your house.
It will depend on the size of your kitchen and whether you are having the worktop also wrapped. Around 3 days is a good ballpark although the exact time will be discussed with you when the quote is put together. The kitchen can stay in use with no need to empty cupboards or worry about any space for boxes – much easier than a new kitchen being fitted!
Some moulding, such as the Shaker style, works well. The ridged beading used on older-style cupboards makes it very difficult to wrap but not impossible. Generally speaking, slab, bevelled edges, handless and shaker style doors are all suitable for wrapping. If you want to send me a photo initially I can have a look and see if it is possible before we arrange a design consultation.
You can choose to keep the same handles or replace them. To avoid additional filling and prep work, the new handles would ideally have the same fitting size to make use of the same holes. However, if you want to change the positioning or style (e.g. double screw to single fixing) I can help and advise with this. I can provide a range of handles which I can show you as part of the design consultation.
Vinyl wrapping has heat resistance up to 75 degrees. This means you can not use pots and trays out of the oven without using a mat or heat protection such as railings. Pretty much the same as a laminate worktop.
Yes making it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
Vinyl wrapping is quicker, cleaner, and more robust than spraying or painting. It leaves you with a hygienic surface with a ten-year quality guarantee. It requires much less prep work, you can carry on using your kitchen between fitting and don't even have to empty your cupboards.
Having your kitchen refurbed and refreshed with vinyl wrapping is more environmentally friendly than having a new kitchen. If your worktop, cabinets and doors are robust but need a bit of love and care, or updating, why send them to landfill when you can vinyl wrap?
This is a difficult one to answer as what is an average kitchen? Prices start at around £1300 for a small kitchen with up to 10 cupboard doors and side panels without a workstop wrap. The overall cost will depend on the finish of the vinyl you chose, as some manufacturers and finishes are more expensive than others e.g. plain colour vinyl is much cheaper than marble or wood. The design consultation and quote are free of charge with no obligation so the best thing is to arrange for me to come and visit.
Architectural vinyl wrapping is about 70-80% cheaper than a new kitchen. It's also a more environmentally friendly solution compared to a rip out and replace kitchen than adds considerably to landfill.
Definitely. I used to work for an architectural and design firm helping them with colour decisions on shop fits. I also have over 20 years experience as a Graphic Designer and my qualifications put me in a great position to know what colours work together and the impact of light.
If you have the time, skills and patience, like most house renovations you can of course give it a go. With Wrapcraft you get a 12-month fitting guarantee and have minimum disruption to your home. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the cost of using an expert so it’s always worth a chat.
