Fire doors

Wrapping fire doors, done properly

Tired fire doors can be refreshed without replacing the doorset. We wrap the door faces in fire-rated architectural film and leave everything that makes the door work as a fire door exactly as it is.

Faces are wrapped and the film is trimmed back on the edges, so intumescent strips, smoke seals and the gaps around the leaf stay untouched.

Euroclass B-s1, d0 Film
We only use architectural film carrying the top fire classification for surface linings in commercial buildings.

Seals Left Clear
Film is trimmed to the inside edge. Intumescent strips and smoke seals are never covered.

Hardware Refitted
Closers, hinges, handles and vision panel beads are refitted as found and checked before we leave.

Signage Replaced
Fire door keep shut and other safety signs are put back on the wrapped face.

Before work starts we confirm with you which doors are certified fire doors. Fire doors are wrapped face-only with edges trimmed back; non-fire doors can be wrapped face and edges under a signed waiver. We recommend you tell your fire risk assessor about the refurbishment.
