Who we are
Wrapcraft is a trading style of Virtue Design Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 07221550, based in Felixstowe, Suffolk. In this policy "we" and "us" means Virtue Design Ltd trading as Wrapcraft. You can contact us at tim@wrapcraft.co.uk or on 07825 047090.
What we collect
When you get in touch by phone, email, WhatsApp or our forms we collect what you send us: usually your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, and photos and details of the work you want done.
If we carry out work for you we also keep the quote, invoice and job records.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a visit, carry out and guarantee the work, and keep the financial records we are required to keep.
We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Legal basis
We use your information to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to perform that contract, to meet our legal obligations such as accounting records, and for our legitimate interest in running the business and responding to enquiries.
Photos of your project
We may photograph work before and after. We only publish photos of your property on our website or social media with your permission, and we never publish your name or full address without asking.
Contacting us on WhatsApp
If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and picture, and anything you send, such as messages, photos, videos and voice notes. We use these only to deal with your enquiry and any work we carry out for you.
WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd, part of Meta. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so WhatsApp cannot read them. WhatsApp does process technical information such as your number and when messages are sent, under its own privacy policy at whatsapp.com/legal.
Chats are kept on the phone Tim uses for both personal and business calls, which is secured with a passcode, and on its encrypted backup. Your messages are only used for your enquiry and job, and are never shared with anyone else. We save job photos to our project records, and delete chats about enquiries that don't go ahead on the same timescale as other enquiries (see below). We never add you to broadcast lists or groups, or send marketing messages on WhatsApp, unless you ask us to.
If you'd rather not use WhatsApp, you can always contact us by phone or email instead. To ask us to delete a WhatsApp conversation, message or email us.
Third-party services
Our website uses a small number of services from other companies. Messages sent through WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp (Meta). Google reviews on our pages are shown using Elfsight, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. These services may receive basic technical information such as your IP address and may set their own cookies.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they find useful. It only runs if you choose "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner. If you say no, no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics data is anonymised and kept for 14 months.
We store your cookie choice in your browser so we don't ask again. To change it at any time, use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go ahead, however they reach us (phone, email, our forms or WhatsApp), are deleted after 12 months. Job and financial records are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements, or for the length of any guarantee on the work if that is longer.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email tim@wrapcraft.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
